Thomas Jefferson Gee, b 1794 - 1796 in Lincoln Co KY, + ? first wife
died in KY?, had 3 children.
2nd wife: Annasa, aka Anastasia, Cherokee Indian, b NC, approx 1800.
Thomas traveled to NC to find an Indian wife, as he said they worked
harder and were better wives than white women. She was a full-blood
Cherokee Indian maiden, according to stories passed down through the
family. They lived in southern IN, possibly in Jasper, Shoals or Keck's
Church. He was a farmer.
He died 3-8-1882, widower, of bronchitis, at Keck's Church (Burns City)
Established July 14, 1849. Name changed to Burns City September 15, 1890
Shoals IN per death cert from Shoals IN.
They are buried in
Ward's Chapel on the Crane Naval Depot grounds?
