Index Email Us			Werner Family I have spent many hours searching for John's parents or brothers and sisters and have not been successful. John J. Werner was born 4/15/1837 in Prussia. He cam to America in  approximately 1840. He married Barbia Wolf, who was born 10/10/1829 in Bavaria. John was a butcher when he lived in Columbus, Indiana. Barbia's father was John Wolf and her mother was Barbia Roth. They were of the Lutheran faith. Barbia Wolf Werner and John Werner They lived in Columbus Indiana. The Lutheran Church records list John as a "metzger". The newer translation of this is "fighter".
